Why this name?

For many years, France has been associated with a certain idea of refinement, elegance, and attentiveness to social conventions. The word étiquette evokes codes of conduct, ways of being, and the quality of human interaction. The choice of French gives this reflection a more contemporary, vibrant, and modern tone. La French Éthiquette therefore brings together the question of social codes and a deeper aspiration: to be true to oneself, to others, and to each situation.

Addressing a contemporary challenge

Today’s post-secondary students, including those in the most selective institutions, are entering a world in which technical skills alone are no longer sufficient. Public speaking, presence, an understanding of unspoken expectations, professional poise, and relational intelligence have become essential in demanding environments. Yet these codes are still rarely taught explicitly. They are often expected, but seldom passed on. La French Éthiquette was born of a simple conviction: such codes are not innate. They must be learned, cultivated, and sustained over time.

Our ambition

Today, La French Éthiquette supports post-secondary students and professionals in developing a refined and demanding professional presence, grounded in general knowledge, clear expression, and poised conduct. Its ambition is to make the invisible codes of excellence visible and accessible, enabling each individual to move through academic, professional, and social environments with greater ease, discernment, and accuracy. General knowledge plays a central role in this approach: it gives meaning to these codes, broadens perspective, and fosters a more nuanced relationship with the world and with others.

"RISING" IS WITHIN EVERYONE'S REACH

Refining one’s language, attending to one’s attitude and appearance, learning to master one’s emotions, listening without judgment, asserting oneself with accuracy, and cultivating the mind: these are all demanding qualities that together form a coherent whole.

They elevate the quality of our presence and bring greater poise, precision, and depth to the ties that bind us to others.
